DEDT 3215 is a single component anaerobic threadlocking material, which is develops high strength. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces.
* Prevents loosening and leakage of threaded fasteners.
* Cylinder liner studs.
* Air compressor fasteners.
* Refrigeration safety valves.

The rate of cure will depend on substrates involved.
Substrate Fixture time/Full cure
Steel 30min/24hrs
Brass 40min/24hrs
Zn Dichromate 50min/24hrs
The rate of cure will depend on the bondline gap. Thin bondlines result in high cure speeds, increasing the bond gap will decrease the rate of cure.
Where cure speed is unacceptably long due to large gaps, applying activator to the surface will improve cure speed, But may also impair overall adhesive performance and therefore testing is recommended to confirm effect.
The rate of cure will depend on the ambient temperature. High temperature tend to increase the speed.
TYPICAL PROPERTIES(CURE)

This product is not recommended for use in pure oxygen or rich systems and should not be selected as sealant for chlorine or other strong oxidizing materials.
Where aqueous washing systems are used to clean the surfaces before bonding. It is important to check for compatibility of the washing solution with the adhesive. In some case, these aqueous washes can affect the cure and performance of the adhesive.
This product may not be compatible with plastics, (particularly thermoplastic materials where stress cracking of plastic could result). Users are advised to confirm compatibility of the product with such substrates.
To aid in disassembly, DEDT anaerobic compounds can be weakened by heating to at least 260℃. Once disassembled ,cured adhesive can removed with DEDT Gasket Remover1790 by following instructions. A solvent wipe with an organic or petroleum solvent will remove uncured adhesive outside the joint.
PRODUCT STORAGE
Product should be stored in a cool, dry location in unopened containers at a temperature between c between 46℉ (8℃) to 82℉ (28℃) unless otherwise stated. To prevent contamination of unused product, do not return any material to its original container.
