CURED SPEED VS. SUBSTRATE
Balsa / Balsa <5 seconds
Rubber / Rubber <5 seconds
Nitrile / Nitrile <5 seconds
Neoprene / Neoprene <5 seconds
EPDM / EPDM <5 seconds
Steel / Steel 10-20 seconds
PVC / PVC 3-10 seconds
Polycarbonate / Polycarbonate 10-40 seconds
CURED SPEED VS. GAP
The rate of cure will depend on the bondline gap. Thin
bondlines result in high cure speeds, increasing the bond gap
will decrease the rate of cure.
CURED SPEED VS. ACTIVATOR
Where cure speed is unacceptably long due to large gaps,
applying activator to the surface will improve cure speed,
However, this can reduce ultimate strength of the bond and
therefore testing is recommended to confirm effect.
SHEAR STRENGTH
Grit Blasted Steel >15 N/mm2
Etched Aluminium >11 N/mm2
Nitrile Rubber >10 N/mm2
Polycarbonate >12 N/mm2
ABS 6~18N/mm2
PVC 6~18N/mm2
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
For best results the surface must be clean and free from
oil ,grease, rust and other contamination. Best results with
DEDT adhesive are obtained by using the minimum amount of
adhesive needed to fill the gap between the two mating
surfaces. Apply firm pressure to mated surfaces until adhesive
sets.
BLOOMING/CHLOROSIS
Vapor generated by uncured liquid adhesive can be deposited
on nearby surfaces leaving a white residue. The condition can
be reduced using one or more of the following methods:
Clean with DEDT 755.
Reduce quantity of the adhesive used.
Increase the airflow.
Speed the fixture/cure of the adhesive by using an accelerator.
PRODUCT STORAGE
Store product in the unopened container in a dry location.
Optimal storage:2℃ to 8℃. Keep container tightly capped. If
stored at low temperature, product must be allowed to return
to room temperature before use, This normally takes 8 to12
hours.
